IMO the fact that Auburn is only 7 wins away from evening up the series makes them far from "lil bro" status.

Good examples of "lil bro" would be:

Texas vs aTm
Texas leads, 76-37-5

Ole Miss vs #HailState
Ole Miss leads, 61–43–6

Also, what's the definition of "lil bro"? Do both schools have to reside in the same state?

What are some other good "lil bro" examples?

Clemson 65-42-4 over Scar

It might have something to do with the fact that Bama has won more NCs in the last 5 years than Auburn has won in the history of their program.

Good point.

Bama -LSU Series record
Alabama leads, 48–25–5

I guess we've been calling the wrong team little bro.

I predict the LSU-Bama series to become even more lopsided in the coming years. Miles only has a few more years left and who will they get to replace him? No one wants the LSU job.

It also might have something to do with the fact that while the series was on hiatus Alabama became one of the premier football programs in the South while Auburn was not. How many more Ws would the Tide have racked up during those years?

I guess your answer to my question is that the teams don't have to reside in the same state to qualify as "lil bro"?

We are no ones little brother. Here is how the Alabama mouth piece put it and I agree with Fbaum.

Auburn fans are different. Auburn fans usually have a direct connection to the school, whereas Alabama fans don't necessarily have blood ties or lambskin degrees. Auburn fans attended school there, or their relatives did, or they have a fondness for the underdog. Those who follow Auburn prefer to be called part of the Auburn "family," and the clichéd way to refer to members of that Auburn family is to say they have a chip on their shoulder, that they want Auburn to be Alabama when the program grows up. That's wrong. Auburn folks are actually proud of that chip—proud that they're not Alabama. They embrace their uniqueness. I think they even embrace their inferiority.

Alabama fans don't understand that their expectations are not only unrealistic, but destructive and suffocating
. Nobody can function forever under those types of ridiculous expectations. Saban, who has lost four games in the last three seasons, has dealt with those expectations since 2008. It's national championship or bust.

you have to take into consideration the only people who proclaim AU as lil bro are the same ones that poison shite, assault and kill when their team loses.

Auburn was owning your @ss before the bahr got to Bama. Auburn was the state school back then. Thank your lucky stars that the series was halted, or Bama would not be where they are now.

I'm not sure if this is revisionist history or ignorance.
