If the head coaching job would become open again in a few years. Would you want Bobby Petrino as the next coach?

No, even though I was interested the last time.

Most will say no... and they would be lying through their tooth.

At the time I guess so. His offense was very successful at WVU

Um, no. We have all seen what a mess he left Arkansas. He's done in the SEC, IMO.

I thought it was funny. After Cheese Dip... they would hire BP in a minute.

This is a very funny post, and absolutely true.
Auburn fans were creaming themselves over the thought of BP being their next coach.
In fact, most were disappointed that they had to "settle" on Malzahn. Their O&B colored glasses tell a slightly different story today.

I wanted Bobby Petrino this last time. He would have been a good choice at that time, because of the condition of the program after 2012. I think AU would go after Rhett Lashlee, if Gus ever decides to leave Auburn. Coaching hires are dependent on timing, and it would not fit BP this time around. I would not doubt that Bama takes a look at BP when Saban leaves.

You won't find two Auburn fans that would admit it today however. But you are correct.

Bama stupidity knows no bounds.

Petrino is already old as shite.

I disagree with this completely. The majority of the Auburn boards were against the BP hire. There was a loud minority in favor.
It is fair to say most fans were underwhelmed by the Malzahn hire but that is because the pay sites pumped up candidates that were likely never actually candidates. Between Smart and Malzahn most wanted Malzahn. He answered my fear in about 10 days. I was concerned with only 7 years of college experience his networking might not allow him might to put together a top notch staff. I was wrong.
