Thanks for the link and the article. Good read. Missouri has a good problem when it comes to the QB spot. They call Mauk fragile when compared to Franklin, but then I guess a lot of people would be called that when compared to Franklin. But I think the only thing that means is that we won't see Mauk lowering a shoulder and trying to run through defenders like Franklin did.

My guess too is that Berk would get the nod over Printz, primarily due to his playing experience. I've always been a big Printz fan, but unless he lights up the fall, I'd go with the experience as well if you have 2 guys otherwise equal.

As for Zanders...I'll continue to think and hope that he moves to WR. I want him making play at the tail end of plays. We have guys that can make them on the front end.

Not a whole lot more to add, but here's Matter's break down at QB. LINK He did extrapolate Mauk's numbers from last year over a full season, not that that will mean a heck of a lot.

Matter article - 5 questions going into camp

Really not much new. Who will catch the ball, who backs up Mauk, how quick do freshmen mature, how does OL handle position changes and does any depth develop on defense.

How is anyone fragile compared to Franklin? The guy missed most of his career with injury

I hear what you're saying but on the flip side, many of his injuries were because he played rugged, taking on hits instead of avoiding contact. I don't think he played like he was fragile, though I guess the argument could be made that his body may have been.

Missouri has chosen its captains for the 2014-2015 season: OT Mitch Morse, DE Markus Golden, WR Bud Sasser, SS Braylon Webb.

Will be honest. Only saw one of those coming. I'm guessing these go to seniors primarily because I don't think there's much doubt that Boehm is the leader of the OL, at least from what I gather from public statements.

Webb and Golden are not surprising to me, they have the most experience on that defense.

This is the first I've heard of Sasser or Morse being leadership guys though, I'm with you, definitely thought Boehm would have been there.

Tavon Ross is not at practice and not listed on the roster. Not sure what going on there, Pete mentioned there might be a hang up with a class but seemed to indicate he'd make it here before the start of school. PM will find out after practice and then we'll hopefully know more.

and so it begins:

Pinkel on Murphy: "With our RB depth, half the time he's on the sidelines. We'd rather have him on the field."

could see him and Zanders both practicing out of the slot receiver spot for much of camp.

I guess this says they have a lot of confidence in Steward as well, since Murphy was already near the top of the RB chart.
