-Ole Miss has never played in the big game

-Alabama has as many wins as they do losses

-all 4 Bama losses were to UF

-all 3 UF losses were to Bama

-the 2 games with the highest attendance were the very first 2 games.

-only 2 teams have ever been repeat champs (Tenn & UF)

-UF won 4 straight SEC titles.....no other team has ever even made 4 straight appearances. Alabama only has 4 total wins.

-UF, LSU, & Auburn are the only teams with winning records (LSU being the highest at .800)

-Arkansas lost 34-3 in their first appearance, then followed that up losing 30-3 in their next trip to Atlanta. UF beat them again (thanks to Reggie Fish) in 2006, making Arky's record a cool 0-3

-Auburn has the 2 highest scores (59 & 56), and the largest margin of victory (56-17 over SCar in their only appearance)

-the West has won 5 straight

-the East's longest win streak was 6

* modern era (since 1992)

Feel free to add more and at Arky a little

Meh...the fumble was in the 3rd quarter. Y'all had the momentum and the lead, but it was far from won.

It was terrible coaching, clock management, decision making, etc from what I remember. Urban completely lucked his way into that fumble. A true Les Miles moment, before Les Miles.

Yeah, I don't quite understand that one either. Looked up the capacity for both Legion Field & The Georgia Dome. Legion is listed at 71k while tGD is at 74k for football & 80k total.

Not really. Those were in Birmingham and featured Alabama.

Legion Field has less capacity than it once did. Alabama stopped playing there in 2003 and the city reduced capacity.

Not as bad as their 59 and 62 national title claims.

That is very impressive. UF's run in the 90's was ridiculous.

They finished 7-1 in conference play, along with LSU.

Exactly. In the early 90s Legion Field capacity was just over 83k but they took out upper decks about 10 years ago after Bama stopped playing there and code compliance

What was the tie-breaker that got LSU in over them? Is that banner still up in their stadium?

LSU beat Ole Miss head to head in 2003. LSU lost to Florida. They were technically co-champions of the division, but LSU advanced with the head to head win.
