Everybody has some kind of clothing that you wear that you should have thrown away years ago but just can't do it.

Today, mine bit the dust. I had a pair of Nike dry fit Khaki shorts that I have had for years. I lost a bunch of weight back in 2006 and these were the first pair of shorts that I bought (and paid good money for) when I got down to a respectable weight.

The most comfortable pair of shorts I have ever owed. I have worn them 1000 times. Today, the zipper feel apart so they are gone

Anyone else holding one to something that is holding on by threads?

My Cleveland Lebron James jersey... And thank God I held on to it, now I don't have to buy a new one.

With very little effort, I could pull the stitches out of every part of the shorts.

Their time has come.

A jacket my wife got me my first year of marriage 11 years ago.

Held up well and I don't think I have another item of clothes from back then but that.

I have a pair of Bass Weejuns that I have had for many years. I have taken them in for soles and heels 5 or 6 times. Cannot part with them.

Shoes are one thing that I just dont get attached to. I go through a new pair of running shoes every few months and a pair of flip flops every summer.

On the other hand, I have a pair of fleece warm up pants that I bought from Cabelas back in 1996. I went on a hunting trip to Saskatchewan Canada and bought them for layering. I still wear those damm things around the house on cold days.

They are big but very comfy and warm. I dont wear them enough to wear them out. They may last until I die.

I cling to my Nike Free runs. Last pair I had went strong for 3 years before I ripped a big hole at the top of the toe traveling around England a year ago. I bought a new pair of Free runs to replace them and they are going on a year now of being shite on, yet I will never replace them until I have to.

Senior boots. I have absolutely no use for them, but can't possibly pitch 'em. 36 years old, 35 years since I've worn them, and still in my closet.

Auburn hats. I wear them until they fall apart. Even then I don't throw them away (you never get rid of a good or lucky hat). I hang them on the deer head downstairs.

I have a tie-dyed Piggly Wiggly shirt that I wear all the damn time. It's starting to come apart, but I still wear it because it pisses the wife off.

The first trojan I bought. Keep rinsing it off and turning it inside out.

I have about a dozen pair of camo bottoms from my years in the Marine Corps I wear around the house and to do yard work in. Some of them are a little snug now, but IDGAF. I feel good.

I got a pair of Patagonia khaki shorts I've had since high school.

They are falling apart and look like cutoffs now and I wear them every Sunday.
