My assumption is tiebreakers are based on points scored by your team. If you and I have the same record at the end of the season the playoff spot goes to the team with the highest points scored.

Does it? Do you waive good players for a safety that may net you two points? I dropped Houston D for that same reason and regret it now. I dropped Mike Evans TB for the same reason. A week later the guy who picked him up uses him to beat me by 6 and then trades his arse.

I have played with only 2 defensive players several times .. a league with +IDP is genius, imo

Well, right now there is 1 defensive player starting with 2 D roster holes. There are no defensive players on the bench bye or no bye. So, you are telling me you oppose picking up 2 defense players for the week from the available? There would be no loss of other players from the roster.
So, pray tell, advise me of the error of my ways?
