Looks like it will be worn with the smokey grays.

This could easily be a disaster I hope they don't frick it up

Yea I like that one but would still want to see it with the rest of the uniform

I actually like the helmet on the main board better. But honestly, I'd stay with the same tried and true helmet.

Yeah, don't mess with the helmets. Everybody knows who we are on that helmet alone.

I feel like the smokey gray uniforms need an altered helmet. Looks odd with the regular helmet.

I agree. If you're gonna wear alternates, it can't be halfassed.

I know a lot of people feel that way (and at first glance I thought that too) but to me the white and orange on the helmet accentuate the white and orange on flashes on the shoes and uni.
In contrast to ours, look at how dull and boring the same basic uniform looks on Kansas (all primary colors, no white flashes, and the gray suffers for it):
In contrast, I think they did a great job with ours. You can really tell the the difference the Orange and White makes especially when everything from the arm sleeves to the gloves and all the accessories make in making our alt. look good but something like Kansas' just kinda 'meh.'
I could see tweaking the whole uni a tad but right now I think the white does more than it's given credit for.

The Tennessee helmet has always been one of my favorites in the SEC and as a Georgia fan I'm weary of uniform changes. Be careful what you wish for

^I'm with you DirtyDawg. I love our helmet (love UGA's as well and HATED the alt helmet they did).
That said, a trusted poster within the AD has hinted that the rumor of a special helmet may well be real. I'm not sure that it will be anything too much but it does look like UT is exploring an alt. option. I just hope they don't screw it up. UT maintains a lot stronger control over design than other schools so I doubt it will get too crazy but I'm wary of this and hope that if they do have something up their sleeves it's a 1 time thing.

Maybe they'll keep it on the DL as much as they can and then whip them out like we did in '07 against Auburn with the blackout

Would be sweet. We have both Florida and Bama at Neyland this year. Florida might be the most likely candidate for something like that - that streak needs to come to an end.
