Part of the Cards trade today included picking up Corey Littrell, who, unless I read it wrong, plated for UK and was drafted in 2013. What can you tell me about the kid? Obviously I know he's good. What's his fastball clock at? What pitches did he throw? What were his out pitches? Stuff like that.
Many thanks and love following the SEC guys in the Cards minor leagues.

Littrell is a very solid lefty. Had a mid-90s fastball and always had a lot of control on his other pitches. Was one of the top SEC prospects coming out. Him with Gott closing out was a great combo for us.

Thanks Belle. Look forward to following him. I'm gonna bet the Cards start him in A or high A and see where he goes from there. Found this on him. Speaks highly and I think he'll do well in the Cardinal association.

Scouting Report: Polished left-hander with good pitchability. High 3/4 arm slot. Controlled delivery. Fastball touched mid-90s during sophomore season but velocity is down as a junior. Now sits 88-92 mph but can drop to the mid-80s. Also throws a low-80s circle changeup, a low-70s curveball and a mid-80s cutter. Mixes pitches well. Strong defensively with a solid pickoff move. Could move quickly up the organization, especially if velocity returns to previous levels. Command needs refinement.

My personal feeling is he will not be a superstar but should be a good journeyman for the Cards. I always liked watching him and hope he has a solid career at the nest level.
