currently holds over their head? If OM were to win this year it would be at least 2026 before they were able to tie the current streak. Does Bo Wallace feel any pressure whatsoever to be the first to make this year the beginning of the end of the Bulldogs choke hold over egg bowl winning streaks?

*The longest streak the rebels hold against State is 6 egg bowl wins.

Wow, I can't believe State won 13 in a row. When was that and what is the overall record? If I had to guess I'd say Ole Miss but it must be closer than I thought.

I believe Clemson's longest steak over us is 7 and our's is 5.

It truly makes you realize how shitty of a team you are when you have a losing streak to State.

The first was in 1911. The next wasn't played until 1915 so technically 12 of the 13 are within the current century.

ETA: which is still double that of OM's current streak might I add.

Win streaks in football while Princeton was still a powerhouse don't count.

I don't think you understand the phrase "current streak." The current streak is one.

50 years and 100 years are quite different.

TL;DR: Duke football > Mississippi State football all-time

First off OP is dumb as frick. The egg bowl trophy wasn't awarded until 1927 -2 years after MSU's streak. So technically, MSU did not win 13 straight egg bowls because the trophy had not been invented yet.

Since the creation of the golden egg trophy in 1927, Ole Miss leads the egg bowl series, 55–26–5
