Do Auburn fans really remember Dabo's statement after Clemson beat them @home?

SDS seems to think so
I doubt many of you even remembered he said this, or am I wrong?

Clemson ended an Auburn 17-game winning streak in Death Valley back on September 17, 2011. Clemson fans rushed the field in celebration. While that hurt, Auburn fans won’t forget anytime soon what head coach Dabo Swinney said after the 38-24 Clemson win.
quote:
“I can’t think of a better place to end the streak then in Death Valley, South Carolina baby,” Swinney screamed while being interviewed on the field by ESPN sideline reporter Quint Kessenich.

They rush the field after EVERY game
It's "tradition"
Hell, they let opposing fans rush the field. I've done it a few times just for the frick of it.

They lost memory of it once Clemson beat them again in Atlanta the following year.

I thought he said something about it being fitting to be beaten by an Alabama guy too. Am I making that up?

"It's only fitting that an Alabama grad would be in charge of the team that ended the winning streak," Swinney said.
Note: he was screaming it.

I am going to rush the field the next time we play them there.
After our first TD. Look for me...

Looking back now, what I remember is that it started a stretch where we lost 14 of 18 against BCS Conference opponents.
Still, now that you mention it, that was a bizzare comment even by Dabo standards. I can't imagine an AU HC saying "Alabama, baby," after a home win against a highly ranked opponent.

You are right...most Auburn fans probably don't remember it. I'm sorry, but its pretty sad that you do.

They rushed the field after a big comeback against Wake Forest a few years ago iirc. Gave Dumbo a Gatorade bath too.
