Hey, y'all...

Was looking at UGA's schedule, and saw where the Troy game was on the SEC Network.

Is there a Knoxville bar a Georgia fan could go to on a Saturday without an issue?

Scruffy City or Preservation Pub in Market Square should both be good options. There's a few casual pints sprinkled around the city that you could call ahead and ask if they'll be showing it as well. The one off Northshore has the best setup IMO. Good patio and nice indoor setup. Doesn't hurt that it's on the Bearden/Farragut border aka milf central aka the older the berry the sweeter the juice corridor aka the section with selection etc. The Bearden beer market is something to check out as well. If UT or any prime time game is on at the same time, they probably won't be show it. Doesn't hurt to ask. They've got the best outside atmosphere/ summer set up in the city IMO.

All the options listed above have a good craft selection

Outside of that, check out the bars along strip where all the students will be at or check out some of the spots in the Old City.

ETA: Forgot to mention Sky Box. It's a sports bar on Gay St. That should be playing multiple games. If all else fails hit up Baileys between north peters and Kingston Pike in west Knoxville.

Other people can tell you better than me of where to go specifically but just about anywhere in Knoxville will be safe for a Dawg fan as long as there are plenty of televisions. Hell, the only time I can remember hearing about people getting mad was at Bammer fans in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg - their game was on but so was ours and no one minded splitting televisions but then they tried to get all the tv's on their game. I wasn't there but I heard it got rather heated.

Hopefully someone who knows our sports bars a bit better will come along to give you a specific place. There used to be a really big one out West that had tons of televisions and was pretty laid back.

ETA: And that someone turned up as I posting. So listen to what he said.

Where in Knoxville? The Strip, Market Square/Downtown, Old City, Rocky Hill, somewhere else?

Laffin out loud.

Thanks for the info guys.

I live in North Knox, and just want to find a place to drink a good beer, cheer for my Dawgs, and not get shived for it.

Central Flats and taps is a good one if you're in North Knoxville.

Hops and Hollers is another good spot a few miles down the road from that. Good selection of craft beer but I don't think they have a TV up yet. That may change by kick off time

Just went to Flats and Taps tonight. H&H has no TV, but they have pretty good food trucks.

I just heard about The Rocks Tavern, a new sports bar out in North Knoxville. It's got good reviews and live music, but I've never been so I can't give any first hand information. May be worth hitting up though
