Passing through on the way to OBX... linking up with my brother there (he's currently vacationing in Charleston).
Any good local cuisine/holes in the wall/landmark eating establishments worth checking out?

Most of the best food is just across the river in SC.

Hildebrandts off of 6th and Greene st. downtown is a great little sandwich joint. And Rhineharts oyster bar right off of the Washington road exit was a good little spot back when I lived there although I drank a lot back then.

Could go for anything. Meeting my brother who is on a different trip coming up from Charleston then shooting up to NC OBX.
Something casual but renowned as part of the local food flare would be ideal!
