I have had State Farm but my agent is retiring and do not like the other agent in town.

Who would be the best company and why?

Are they a thing in Texas? I always thought it was mostly just an Alabama company.

USAA is the best if you can get it.

Allstate is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

I used to have an auto policy with Travelers, and still have a homeowners with them. Never had to file a claim, but the price seems reasonable.

Liberty Mutual is doing the thing where they blow everyone's quote out of the water and then slowly raise your rates.

Get in now to take advantage and switch out in a few years.

ETA: Got both cars and the business done through them, they beat everyone else's quote for each by like 40%. Different agents, both really good rates.

We've been happy with Shelter, and we transferred from State Farm.

Yeah I used to be a claims adjuster for a smaller insurance company and State Farm, USAA, and Geico were the easiest to deal with.

Allstate was the absolute worst. I could write a 2000 word essay on dealing with them and how horrible it was.

USAA is amazing. Best decision I've made financially is to do all my banking and insurance through them.

Only two in town and I hate the other one. He made comment to mama and from that day on I refuse to do business with him.

I won't even sit in lodge with him.

Anything but Allstate.

USAA and Cincinnati have been good. Neither is the cheapest though

Just use an agent from another nearby city. How often do you sit down with an agent anyways?

Every two weeks if he shows up to lodge. But it's personal with him. If it was just business I wouldn't mind.
