With the College Football HOF opening on Aug 23rd, are any of you planning on having it on your itinerary during your trip to Atlanta?

How about other fans? Waiting to see if you will be in Atlanta in December?

LINK

The journey begins with a one-of-a-kind experience through the Entry Tunnel, boasting larger-than-life images from 11 conference champions that are updated each season. It winds its way to The Quad, which is anchored by the Helmet Wall Presented by Southwest Airlines, featuring helmets from all 767 college football teams. Guests check in at the registration desks in The Quad to personalize their All-Access Pass credential with their favorite college football team.

The Game Day Theater treats guests to an ultra-high definition 4K feature film “The Game of Your Life.”

The Chick-fil-A Why We Love College Football gallery sets the stage for an exciting visit to the Hall of Fame. The gallery introduces the guest to an immersive, high-tech experience, greeting them with a 52-foot long touch screen, interactive wall that is one of the Hall’s signature experiences.

The gallery also includes large trophy cases displaying iconic hardware, including the Heisman and National Championship trophies, the trophies from the six bowls comprising the College Football Playoff and many other individual awards given out each year to players and coaches.

In Rivalries, visitors test their knowledge by matching up college football rivals and uncovering fun facts about the rivalry. Rivalry Hardware offers a look at the trophies awarded in the various rivalries.

In the Regions Bank Greatest Moments film, visitors can relive the most miraculous moments, plays, catches and hits from the current college football season.

Anatomy of a Play gives visitors the opportunity to go inside the huddle and slow these critical seconds down, giving them the sights, sounds and inside information that will open their eyes to the amazing communication and adjustments involved in every play. In Call the Play, visitors can choose from a list of great moments, listen to its famous broadcast and then offer their own rendition.

The 360 Virtual Stadiums Presented by Piedmont Healthcare exhibit takes visitors straight to the field of college football’s most legendary stadiums, giving them the chance to visit venues like The Horseshoe, The Coliseum, The Swamp and Death Valley. Now, you can take the field at these historic college football venues without ever leaving Atlanta. The experience features originally shot 360-degree video from a variety of exciting angles on the field. You could find yourself in the middle of a marching band, standing on the 50-yard line as players take the field or at the center of the festivities surrounding the game.

I wasn't meaning the cost. If they have a pre-opening event etc. for sponsors so that I don't have to be in a huge crowd. But I will say I can drink a lot of good boots of beer for the $40 it would save me if it is just free tix.

Next time I drive to Richmond, I'll have to swing through Atlanta to see that.
