It's really been strange. Wet and unusually cool this year. We've had several July days with lows in the 60's and Thursday the low is supposed to be 61.

It's 83 here right now. I'm jealous. The cooler the better IMO.

The start of Global cooling. Several cities in the Southern states and midwest have broke record cool temps dating back to the 1800's.

It was a legendary 4th of July weekend for me. I think for the first time, the weather wasn't actually hot. I despise summer heat so this summer has been fantastic for me so far.

A record low in Lexington - 51°. It's the second year in a row we've had a record low on this date. 54° last July 29th.

Right now it's 74° with a low of 56° tonight. Love this global cooling.

Being the Mississippi farmer that I am I have a perverse love for suffocating heat

I thought crops grew best in the 80-90 degree heat

Tomatoes are the same way. This will likely slow our garden way down.

I'm sort of a weird bird, born in Memphis farm near Tunica but have spent almost every weekend of my life (when crops didn't conflict) at pickwick and now my dad has moved up here

Off topic, but what's the deal with Iuka? Every time I've heard someone mention it, the phrase "god's country" was thrown around. Just pretty land up there?
