Why Do Tenn Fans Hate Dooley So Much?

I mean I get hating Kiffin. His pump and dump after Fulmer set the program back years.
But why Dooley?
I mean....he was NEVER good. He had a losing record at the job before Tenn. He was an obvious stopgap after the timing of Kiffin's exit- a John L of the East that stayed too long.
Seems like if I was a Tenn fan I would hate the AD that gave him a contract longer than a year, or hate myself for deluding myself into thinking Dooley was a good coach even a little bit based on nothing.
But hating Dooley himself? To me that seems like picking on a kid with Down's Syndrome- completely unfair.
He was daddy's boy that simply could never stand up without holding onto daddy's pant leg, much like the Tenn coach he replaced. Just another trust fund baby that was in over his head. Maybe if he was running North Korea I could hate the guy, but just being given a job he never deserved because everyone who deserved it said no? Not his fault.
Heck, if I was a thinking Tenn fan and I REALLY wanted to hate someone I would look to the schedule and The University of Oklahoma. It was their 1984 legal victory against the NCAA that opened up exposure for more college programs, which hurt the chances of traditional powers with crappy local recruiting basses like Nebraska, Michigan, Notre Dame, or Tennessee. Thanks to Oklahoma no longer did these programs dominate the airwaves or mindshare as they once did, especially once ESPN got their mitts on it. So I would hate Oklahoma more than almost anyone as a Tenn fan.
But not Dooley. What did Dooley do?

He was the worst coach in program history and set the program back 5+ years.
If he had been a classy guy people would have probably just felt sorry for him, but he is one of the biggest cock suckers OAT. Treated everyone like absolute shite. Some of the stories are all time bad.

Mostly, they didn't care for his haircut.

I am being serious. The only hook in the entire OP is baited for someone other than Tenn.
I am really curious about why they feel the way they do. The orange ones have grown on me, but this I cannot understand.

Dooley the person, not even the coach, is a complete arse. Everyone that worked for and around him hated him.
Being a sucky arse coach didn't help either.

He is a piece of shite human being and the worst coach in program history. Not sure why you're surprised people would hate him.

Like cardboard said you guys really should hate your AD, not Dooley
Hell your AD even hired Cuonzo

The AD who hired Kiffin, Cuonzo and Dooley was fired 3 years ago.

He sabotaged the Tennessee program and got paid 10 million for it. Who's laughing at who? Hambone deserves all of the grief for both Kiffin and Dooley. I think Dooley subconsciously could never have done a good job at Tennessee. When you grown up the son of a Georgia legend, you have to have some hate for the Big Orange conditioned into you from a young age. He might have had good intentions consciously but his subconscious mind sabotaged it.

If I am at a kid's party and they hire a clown how can I get pissed if he acted like a clown?
I guess my real question is: what made y'all ever believe he could be good enough to hate him today for him failing you?
Or even beyond that, why didn't y'all run him and that AD off after year one?
I mean, I get an Arky fan still having hope today. Fatass went to three Rose Bowls. Heck, John L was even a better choice than Dooley.
Dooley won 4 games at LA Tenn the year before he was hired. He never had a winning season at Tenn.
Why was he ever "the answer?" How did he ever get hired for longer than a one year deal at a top 20 program all time?

K. So again, hate the deposed of AD and not the retard coach he hired.
I'm still waiting for examples of why Dooley is a terrible human being

This has to be a troll.
In the SEC a lot of fans are dumbfricks who believe in anyone who is associated with the program. This can't be a surprise to you. Some of these dumbasses wanted to give him a 4th year.
There are fans today who believe Butch Jones can do no wrong for the same reason. I am in the wait and see camp on Jones but I would be surprised if he ever wins anything of significance at Tennessee. If he is eventually fired I won't hate him though, because he is a nice enough guy. I will blame it on Hart.
I always thought Dooley was a joke and a shite tier hire. Doesn't mean I can't hate him when he absolutely sucks at his job and treats people like shite.
The AD who hired him was fired before his second season fwiw.

The reason Tennessee doesn't have any returning offensive linemen is because Dooley decided not to recruit any his last season at Tennessee. That should help you a little bit.
(Oh and lulz at thinking Kiffin's one year stint had some major impact on them going down the shitter.)

I would also like to hear some off the field examples of why he sucked so bad

In theory John L was the perfect choice. Knew the system, knew the players, knew the assistants, etc.
We just didn't realize how shitty petrinos recruiting and player retention was. Steve Kragthorpe, John L, and Bert didn't just forget how to coach. They all got screwed over by Petrino recruits

Still haven't seen examples
