With a new operating system update that was released last fall, iPhones now keep an actual log of places you've been, down to the address and the minute.

So glad that I don't use iPhones. Creepy shite.

The only reason to worry about is if you're breaking the law or doing something wrong.

CatFan, satellites do the same thing among other ways of tracking. You're always being watched everywhere you go, everything you do. Of all the things you're scared of, this is just disappointing

I found this out last year. I showed my wife that I could find her locations spot on if she handed me her phone. I showed her the times she went to church, gym, work, etc.

I then showed her where it would show that the gym was what it expected her to go to next.

If NSA is spying in my location services, they're going to be confused as heck.

If you use the Internet, use any kind of credit card, and all kinds of other electronic communications then your iPhone spying on you is the least of your worries.

What I find interesting is the metadata that gets buried in the pictures you take with your iphone.

You can see exactly where you were when you took the picture and the time. iOS will put it on a map as well. I find this a very cool feature because I travel internationally a lot and it puts context to the pics I take.

All cell phones track your location. The information is stored in cellular network databases to perform hand-off as your move from one cell tower's domain to another.

Do you let Facebook access your location so you can check-in?

Lemme guess: you have an android phone and think that google totally respects your privacy.

No, I have a Windows phone. I know that none of them actually respect your privacy but Apple takes it a bit farther than the others.

I just feel bad for the lowly NSA employee who has to watch me masturbate.

This.

It's not about breaking the law or doing something wrong. It's about the government doing things that they should never have the authority to do.

Is that so? That has to be one of the most ill-thought statements I've read in a while. How in the hell can you ever feel free when someone knows exactly where you are at all times.

I agree. But it is completely out of my control and I love my phone so c'est la vie

Sleeping tiger is about to tell me I'm a sheep for loving technology and we are all doomed

To top it all off, sealed-battery phones leave you little hope of privacy if needed. But I suppose that's why they make throw away phones.
