How many of you would be an Ole Miss fan if your parents weren't Ole Miss fans.
There isn't really any attractive feature of Ole Miss to devote a fandom toward such as Alabama and Florida.
If it wasn't for your parents passing on their fandom generation-to-generation, wouldn't you much rather be an Alabama, Mississippi State, Georgia, or Florida fan. Or at least some other team that has had recent success and rewards your devotion instead of risking your blood pressure and mental health by always disappointing you?
This also extends to teams such as Texas A&M, LSU, and Arkansas.
