Question about Ole Miss and State in-state recruiting

Maybe it's just me but over the last ten or so years (really since Mullen arrived in Starkville) it seems like both schools have cut off the top talent in the state from everyone else. One of the excuses I used to here for why neither Ole Miss or State were any good was because our top talent went to either Alabama or LSU. Sure some still slip away from us but I'd be willing to bet if they're recruited hard by either Mississippi school now, 90% of the state's top talent will stay within our borders.
What do you think?

Mullen came in with the plan of building a team with mostly MS talent. Ole Miss stepped up their game for in-state talent to match that focus. Result A: Harder for out-of-state schools to swoop in and grab talent. Result B: USM collapse.

This makes me happy. Very very happy.
Also have to give credit to ULL becoming a power in recruiting some of the players USM used to pick up and develop.

These two schools are more of a fad now and get what they want nationally more so than ever. Thanks to social sedia, the SEC and the south in general are better percieved than 10 years ago to people from across the country.
The epic fail of the Big 10, Miami, ND etc also fuels the Alabama LSU recruiting machine..
We are improving as a whole along with the rest of the SEC, but I don't thing the big schools are drawing as hard as they once did on Mississippi players who know they'll get immediate playing time / fandom at OM / MSU..

Don't forget USA. Mobile area was always a hotbed for USM talent in the past.

This is a lot more to do with ULL, South Alabama, and Troy. Not to mention, all those small Florida schools taking off lately.

Percentage of four-star or greater Mississippi prospects to sign with in-state schools since 2009 (beginning of Moffan Era)
2009
Mississippi State - 6/11 (55%)
Alabama - 2/11 (18%)
Florida State - 1/11 (9%)
Ole Miss - 1/11 (9%)
Southern Miss - 1/11 (9%)
2010
Mississippi State - 4/9 (44%)
Ole Miss - 3/9 (33%)
Auburn - 1/9 (11%)
LSU - 1/9 (11%)
2011
Ole Miss - 6/10 (60%)
Alabama - 1/10 (10%)

Mississippi State - 1/5 (20%)
2014

I edited the post to provide some comparative figures, albeit with Alabama and Auburn.

The numbers will only get higher and I feel pretty sure, State will leap frog OM and be on top after this next signing class is complete. Nice info to see
