This was what we picked today.
I already canned 4 jars of tomatoes today, and I'll probably be up until midnight every day this week to keep everything from going to waste.
How is everyone tonight?

Good lawd.
We've had a decent haul between my Mom and Grandmother's gardens. It's been mostly squash and cucumber though. We dealt with a little bit of Bottom End Rot until about two weeks ago on our tomatoes.

We picked about 7 1/2 gallons of jalepenos, and we will pickle all of them.

I think next season I want to try to grow strawberries. We had a farm across the street from my neighborhood that did U-Pick'em when I was younger and that thing would be absolutely full of them. And some surrounding farms grow them pretty well.
Wouldn't mind planting a blackberry bush either.

I'm about to move to a house and I've been thinking about growing some peppers. Some weed would be cool too.

Today my boss was trying to give me a bag full of tomatoes and cucumbers he grew. I told him no thanks.
I do like cucumber and tomato salad, but I'm too lazy to cut all of it up.

We've had luck with raspberry and blueberry bushes, but our blackberry bushes didn't make it, and the birds and deer ate the strawberries :(.

Damn you lazy arse, it's not hard to cut up.

That's a great-looking haul. Congrats. My suggestion is to give the excess to neighbors. Particularly the neighbors you can't stand. Our cranky old neighbor that bitches about everything did that last week with tomatoes and zucchini and it blew me away. No way I saw that coming. So now he gets figs, if the damn squirrels don't get them first.

Thats why I'm moving. I'm too poor to live alone in a swanky apartment. Got to split rent and bills with one of my homies.

Two questions, how many peppers are in a peck and do you plan to pickle them?

I did the unthinkable tonight. I are nasty food, aka chicken.

Do you mean you ate a live chicken?
