Texas A&M, are you ok with never having a rivalry with these SEC blue blood schools: Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee?

Missouri, are you ok with never having a rivalry with these SEC blue blood schools: Alabama, LSU, and Auburn?

You will only play these cross division teams twice in the next 11 years and only see them once per decade on your home field.
Thus, you will never develop a true football rivalry with any of these schools.

What? SC nor Arkansas have developed such a rivalry with cross divisional teams. Hell they haven't even established one with each other and they played every year.. and yes I think both are ok with it.

I can't imagine why A&M and Mizzou would care either.

For the last 20 years Arkansas and USC played the cross division blue blood schools more due to the old system and the SEC only have 12 teams.

Well, I'm asking them.

Aggie fans, do you care about not playing Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee very much in the next 12 years?

Missouri?

Exactly, and no true rivalry has developed between SC and any West school.

As a fan I'd be more pissed if we couldn't get any rivalry games. With KU and Texas dipping out their real hate is gone but at least A&M has history with Arkansas in LSU in the division and given the proximity I imagine Mizzou-Arkansas will develop into something nice.

We don't have much choice in the matter, as it stands now. I would like to see a ninth conference game with a a third team from the cross division, though.

To be fair, the 6-2-1 format the league had until 2005 made it so we rarely saw teams other than our TWO permanent cross division opponenets.

Why are the posters on this website so fixated on rivalries?
They're rivals.
They're not rivals.
They think we're rivals, but we're not.
Our rivalry is the best ever.
Rivalry application denied.
What rivalry should play on what weekend?

It seems to be a weekly topic.
Just curious why.
And to answer your question, I don't think any of us cares in the least.

Bother me? No. We're still on the high of escaping Shawskank Prison known as the XII.

And considering where our program is in it's evolution, residing in the SEC East and not seeing Bama, LSU, etc. is a good thing. Gives us a chance to hopefully build an identity and keep raising our national profile bit by bit.

We play an exciting style of football and have been placing players in the league for quite some time. Hopefully it catches on with the kids and we become seen as a tougher / more defensively balanced version of Oregon in the SEC. A definitive, distinct brand within the SEC and nationally.

To answer your question, the Roommate Switch schedule would solve problem of not seeing all the teams more regularly. It would be another groundbreaking way the SEC to lead the charge into 21st century football. (Adding Missouri and A&M being the first. )

This is nothing more than a subtle scheduling bitch fest by a discontent LSU fan. They so desperately want someone else on their side, but alas they are alone.

yea don't know why would be worried about a "rivalry" game with LSU, Bama or Auburn when we have them with Florida, UGA, USC and Tenn now.

This question really doesn't even make any sense, it's not like everyone from a div can play just 3 teams from the other div.

We have ourkansas now, and we're fine with it, we would take Aggie or LSU or Bama if we had to and would be fine with that too, but for now, pig roasting is just great!

So Mizzou is the fat on on the right and which on is Carolina? By your definition, are we both not 'bridesmaids'?

When we go play in Atlanta this year, we're gonna really really care a lot about what you think...

keep telling yourself that one..
