nah, Joejuan is in TN and Jamyst is in GA. Plus Joejuan is about 4-5 inches taller and 25 lbs bigger. Jamyset is a really fast prospect, he could play CB, but he's also being recruited as an ATH, so he might play WR. However, I think we are recruiting him as a CB.

A couple more offers, these are for 2 California prospects. Not 2016 guys, further out, I just thought it was interesting that we offered HS talent in CA. Apparently the two players wanted to play in the SEC, their coach sent in film to SC and Sands responded with the offers.
Class of 2017 4* ATH #17 Overall so probably will be bumped to a 5* at some point.

He set his announcement date for June 7th, seems like it's a long time to set a specific date, but it's his world. SC is still the named Favorite.

I watched his highlight reel, those were some great clips. This guy has a lot of hustle in him. There was a ton of down field blocking when he was chasing the ball and finding guys to hit down field. I can see why they had him at LT, he moves well, and can get out to the flat to make a block. I really liked how several times he would get his first defender on the ground and then immediately go after another guy to block. He has hustle and meanness and those are things that are harder to coach and the player has to bring to the table.
He also keeps his knees bent while blocking, and he drives the defenders up to get leverage. He has some power. He can pull or close the ends really well, good first step.
Also, he wasn't just dominating kids half his size, there were many clips where he lined up against big SC DL that this state produces. He overpowered a lot of them.
Hopefully he gets is grades in order and we see him in a few years. I really liked his highlight reel, I can see why they said he has a lot of upside, he's only played 3 seasons in his life. I like his highlight reel alot, he plays with a lot of effort, he gets excited in between plays, he runs downfield to get additional blocks. He hustles, you can't coach that, this could be a diamond in the rough, but we won't know for 2-3 years.

I a surprise twist he committed to ncstate yesterday. That's weird, EXCEPT I just saw he transferred to Orangeburg WIlkonson, which is a tater stronghold, so now it makes sense. We led for him as a named favorite for months, but this came out of nowhere. Our coaches need to do what they need to do to repair whatever relationship there is with OW, so this kinda thing doesn't happen. We're still a year out form '16's NSD, so there's plenty of time to flip him.

'16 4* TE/WDE Naseir Upshur picked up a CB yesterday from JC to SC yesterday. Our QB of the future, Brandon McIlwainm, has been communicating a lot with Upshur and trying to get him to join him at SC.
This is the guy who is also friends with David Williams and they played at the same HS.

4* WR Bryan Edwards had a great visit for Jr Day. He would be the lead candidate for next commit to SC's '16 class.

Officially 1 year from NSD 2016. Hopefully McIlwain can help bring us some big talent to play with. Kid is a stud. A year is a long time, but I sure hope he does end up coming here.
