I just got a Leupold 3x9x50 to put on my blackout. Does anyone have any experience with quick detach mounts? I found these @ Midway. All I'm using this for is the thump some doe's on my property. I got wet when they made it legal to hunt with a can.

I have used their regular rifle rings and they are great never used that mount. Check opticsplanet.com, eurooptics.com, and mounts plus before you order it just to see if they beat midway price.

I'll definitely shop around first, my concern is the 50mm I'm worried it may be a tad to big. I probably should have went with a 40. Also the quick detach is a must because I don't want the scope on there when I want to go plinking. I'm only going to use the scope once or twice a year.

The 50mm should clear and will help in low light situations, if not you can get a spacer pretty cheap.

Bigdawg gave some good search suggestions. Brownell is another good one. As for Midway, they have decent prices but will really stick it to you with shipping.

If you do business with Midway be sure to get a price on their shipping before confirming the order.
