In before Sewell only played football at Alabama.

I was looking into that and saw conflicting reports as to whether he played baseball there or not

So you're saying the SEC had only one player in the Hall? Interesting.

He's in the NCAA college baseball hall of game as a lettering shortstop at Alabama in 1918 and 1919. But he lettered in football from 1918-1920.

To be fair, he was also Alabama's baseball coach in the early 1960s.

There are only 237 players total in the hall of fame. Of those 237 players, there are only TEN that played college baseball.

Took me a second to figure out you were talking baseball rather than linebackers. I would have been shocked at those numbers had that been the case.

Any way Tim Hudson makes it? I doubt it but that would put Auburn at 2

Doubtful, only 4 all star games and not a single individual award. He's put together very solid career, but I just don't see it. The only former SEC player I can see right now that could get in would be Palmeiro, but given the Hall's reluctance to induct implicated for steroids, good chance he never makes it either.

Alvin Dark should be in the baseball HOF, but we know ESPN runs the HOF and well we know the rest of the story lol

True. I honestly hadn't looked at his career achievements, he's just had a long sturdy career.

Bo might've made it if he stayed healthy...I don't think anyways would implicate Bo w PEDs

no he shouldn't unless you make an argument he should get in becauae of his success both as a player and manager, but neither on its own warrants hall of fame status. i think people don't realize how hard it is to get inducted into the baseball hall of fame.
