Shelley vs. message board people
Urbz is apparently not spending enough time at home with his family. Wonder what Shelley's user name is around here?
road? Sparty? slayer?

I'd guess those people she speaks of feel the same as the "message board people" they just won't tell her to her face, cause that would be rude.

Saban made her and Urban Liar run off scared to the Horseshoe.

She's just being a count. Would have been better off declining that interview as she made no new friends in Florida.

I love her comparison of Big Ten vs the SEC atmosphere.
Damn straight

She also commented on the difference between the fan bases in the SEC and the Big Ten. The passion shown by SEC fans is credited as one of the reasons the conference is considered the best in college football. But as the trees at Toomer’s Corner found out, it can be over-the-top passion. “It’s less hostile here than at Florida,” she told Bucknuts. “I mean, the SEC as a whole is a more-hostile feeling to me. I thought that ever since we went down there. It’s just meaner. “Now, I know ‘The Team Up North’ versus Ohio State game is pretty mean; everybody is pretty mean when that game rolls around. It’s extremely competitive, but it’s just not as mean (as the SEC). Not as dirty and mean. I hate to say that, but that’s just how it is in the South. College football is everything down there.”
On Friday, she said that she was simply trying to point out the differences between the two conferences.
“The Big Ten isn’t like that,” she said. “That’s just my opinion. There is not that feel here. The intensity in the competition (in the SEC) is incredible.”
Damn straight

She basically called the OSU/Michigan game a giant pussyfest. Now that we've cleared that up the Iron Bowl is clearly the #1 Rivalry.

Funny, someone on r/CFB posted this in a thread titled "What ACTUAL controversial opinion do you hold about this sport? One that you KNOW would be severely downvoted if you said it in a thread? Set your phasers to "controversial" for this."

the iron bowl didn't mean jack shite in national context just a few years ago. And it has never been and will never be as big as The Game. I would even suggest it's on the level of michigan/msu, which is big to us in michigan, but not like the Game in that The Game transcends life itself. The Iron bowl is only big to the state of alabama. Most no one else cared or will care once one team isn't any good. The Game always has been (in modern history) and always will be the greatest. The Iron Bowl is, in a national context, a fad of both teams being good. The documentary about The Game was made when michigan was at it's shittiest in half a century. The documentary about the iron bowl wasn't made until roughly half a decade of national championships were decided in that game. It's regional.

Well, we now know what "health reasons" Urban had for "leaving football"... she's a pain in the arse it seems. Glad he got that checked out.

Good luck in getting anybody at Florida to believe him, but Urban Meyer says he did not turn Florida in for recruiting violations. - ESPN

Just being a good wife & supporting her husband IMO. Shelley is good people. Some of her comments were almost backhanded compliments.

Urban is a cowradly a-hole who got everything he wanted by doing it the wrong way. He is proof the villian can win.

Uh... I don't even understand how this was news. Shelley Meyer is upset because some people don't like her husband? Well shite... that's terrible. I should send her a letter telling her how sorry I am that life is so hard for her, having her husband be disliked while he brings in millions of dollars per year...
How is this even news?
Also if she doesn't like hateful people, she should stay the frick away from the rant,

Hmmmmm. I thought that the reason Herbstreet moved his family to Nashville was because his kids were being harassed by THE OSU fans whenever he said anything negative.
