This is the rumor, originated on a UT pay site, that is being spread now on free Baylor boards...

quote:

What I heard was a doozy though. It was basically that at his second visit to TAMU Sumlin asked him if he would want to play for him and Patrick said "yes", Sumlin then replied "good, you're committed!". Patrick went home not really sure what had just taken place. Time goes by and Hudson's mother starts getting all these people congratulating on her for Patrick choosing TAMU and she's all wtf???? She calls Sumlin and chews his arse out telling him not to put words in her kids mouth. Then Baylor came calling and she and Patrick decode that being at BU would be better for him. Secondary story was that it's not the first time that Sumlin has used this tactic and is how he has managed to collect so many coveted recruits, they all think the other one has committed and who doesn't want to play with the best so another one says yes when the whole thing might have just been a snowball started by a lie. Crazy, right? If only so much money were not at stake.

These idiots believe this shite. Sumlin is using the Jedi mind trick!

(Not only does the story make no damn sense, but there is a May 22nd article in which Patrick talks about how his mom wanted him to commit to A&M and how excited she is about the commitment, etc.)

These people are nuts, but we can't escape them!

So what was that whole 'going to the SEC' thing about then?

You should take a trip over to Elite Dawgs to see all of the conspiracy theories they have about OM cheating.

I bet if you went over there, there would be 5 or 6 threads dedicated to OM.

Strange people.

It helps create a barrier, we just have to go outside of the compound for recruiting.

In the summer of 2008, Auburn's ITAT board had members follow our commits around. They photographed them, took down plate numbers, and ran VIN numbers. This "operation red dog" report was sent to the NCAA.

Since their parents had to sign first, they thought it was a permission slip to finally ride in the swaggercopter.

Misinformation possibly? If I were a coach id play on the mental weakness of kids.
For a team dominating the state of Texas some here sure still seem fixated on UT, no?

We don't even play them and they don't like it that now they are 2nd or third in line after the Aggies have taken the elite recruits.

Don't be surprised to see Patrick Hudson wearing maroon and white. Watching several Aggie OL getting hugged by the Commissioner this spring will get his attention.

IMHO I think all of college football wants to see texas verse Ags. Why don't they play? Florida plays fsu, Clemson South Carolina.

yes the Ags have no competition for kids instate or in conference competition. They take all the elite players and this year or next will be there year.

All of college football wants to see it because it is no longer happening. Before, it wasn't a nationally anticipated game. The A&M vs LSU games will be much bigger in appeal and exposure, so long as both teams are competitive.
