Algeria Airlines reporting that a passenger jet carrying 116 people vanished.

Honestly if you figure the sheer number of flights taken all around the globe, I'm surprised it doesn't happen more. Especially when some of these major airlines have aging aircraft. I can't imagine a smaller airline flying out of a third world country in essentially a war zone.

Over there? Where is "there?" Not America?

This happened over Mali or Algeria most likely. That's not even on the same continent as Ukraine.

I see this event as wholly unrelated, to the Malaysian Airlines crash FWIW.

Agreed...looks like one that flew off the radar and crashed

I'm not sure what qualifications other international airline companies have for pilots but some of these mother frickers need to seriously step their damn game up before they let just anyone fly
