... according to Finebaum.

PFsays Texas needs the game more than A&M, but that the game needs to be played.

I'd make'em work for it Aggies.

A&M doesn't want anything to do with Texas. Scared.

I'm sure most people would want another win on the schedule.

No.

We pick up a higher profile Thanksgiving game with LSU (who i would hope is better the tu). Dont see ANY benefit in playing them anymore.

We have a spot open in 2020. I'd be down, but I doubt Charlie is still there then.

We took a page out of the LSU playbook.

Texas can't handle the schedule they have now. I see multiple losses on this yrs schedule. I don't see Texas playing A&M anytime soon.

Which means you totally care.

So does the rest of college football.

Seems to be a lot of mixed messages coming from Austin these past couple of years. Contradictory at every turn. Either he didn't run this by AD Patterson, or it's good cop, bad cop...

Lord knows you can't trust them at their word. Would not do it

honestly I care about playing them. Unlike most Ags, I'd like to.

However, I don't give a frick what their spin of the week is and I'm tired of every time they get on a pulpit talking about it with a different opinion each time. Either play or don't. Quit making announcements one way or another.

From a personal standpoint I would like to play them again. From a "whats best for the program" standpoint I dont see the upside.

If Strong can actually turn them back into a legitimate contender then I could see the appeal. Maybe in 4-5 years it would be worth it for us to agree to play them again.

I want to play them after we've won the SEC/playoff. We have a new opportunity in front of us to enjoy a new rivalry and new experience. That game will be there soon enough. I'd rather win the SEC/natty first though. The state of Florida has won 11 nattys over the last 35 years. The state of Texas has 1. There is enough talent in the greatest state in the Union to win more than we have.

not sure why Arky fans feel the need to try and troll on this subject when we all know you guys secretly want to play Texas in a yearly home and home.

Texas' problem is just what A&M's problem has been for decades, coaching.

Texas is still the #1 job in the country, they just need some grit back. No one in this league leads all time against Alabama.

That's public knowledge. Hell yeah we do.

We would have the best of all worlds. Talk about ramping up the fan base on every side of our state.
