UL-Lafayette Fayetteville, Ark. WIN

Samford Little Rock, Ark. WIN

Southern Miss (Family Weekend) Fayetteville, Ark. WIN

at Rutgers Piscataway, N.J. LOSS

Texas A&M* Fayetteville, Ark. LOSS

at Florida* Gainesville, Fla. LOSS

South Carolina* (Homecoming) Fayetteville, Ark. LOSS

at Alabama* Tuscaloosa, Ala. LOSS

Auburn* (Senior Day) Fayetteville, Ark. LOSS

at Ole Miss* Oxford, Miss. LOSS

at LSU* Baton Rouge, La. LOSS

3-9, maybe 5-7 with wins vs. Rutgers and Mississippi State

no way he wins more than that with how shitty our talent was last year

He would have looked at the talent he had and designed a team from that instead of giving up on a season to instill his philosophy. Gus is the better coach.

I'd be wondering why he made a lateral move

What would you have done different? Remember Brandon Allen and AJ Derby are your QBs

This is actually a decent offseason hypothetical.

It's also a reminder that some of the decisions made at Arkansas have been every bit as bad as those made at Tennessee under Hamilton.

Makes one wonder why the AD at Arkansas still has that job, much less how he's hesding-up the playoff committee.

There were plenty of opportunities to hire Gus at Arksnsas.

I don't know what I would've done, but at the same time I'm not Gus. The dude took a second string DB from Georgia and turned him into the best QB in the conference going into this season. The guy makes the most out of what he has.

I think he wins at least six. It's not like he walked into an Alabama or LSU talent stable at Auburn and he took them to the natty. Dude can flat out coach.

We would have beat Rutgers, A&M, Miss State, and maybe LSU.

So 6-7.

Not actually saying Gus would do a better job long-term. But he's definitely a better first year coach than Bielema.
