With so many threads talking about other fans mishaps and just the overall bad parts of college football, let's take a moment to shed some light on the inspiring moments in recent history. The feel good ones.

LINK

I'm sure a lot of Bama and Auburn fans remember what happened to Siran Stacy, when 4 of his children and his wife were killed by a drunk driver. He went to shake hands with Nick Saban and then cheers on the crowd before throwing the game ball into the endzone stands. That moment still gets me every time. Was right before the 2008 Iron Bowl. Made that victory all the much sweeter for us as Bama fans.

Big12 moment, but I don't care. It's a part of our history:

Texas band's tribute to those A&M lost in the 1999 Bonfire tragedy.

God Bless Siran Stacy. He was a great back for Alabama and that personal loss was beyond words in terms of catastrophe.

The IB win or loss is irrelevant to the love he got that night, but if it helped, this Aubie is ok with it. Its a series. We all win and lose.

Funny about how these things work. Our family got a real scare in May this year. Im in california on business. Wife and daughter have to go to an early medical appointment at 6AM here in Atlanta. Sitting at a traffic light waiting to turn, an asleep driver, cruises into their lane and hits them head on. Opposing driver going 45 mph. Our mini van standing still. Both vehicles totalled. Everybody walked away thanks to modern technology and seat belts. However, I got the call (timezone adjusted) from a hysterical wife saying they had just been in a terrible accident.

Our vehicle was 6 weeks old. Totalled. however, everybody walked away including both drivers. For that we were BLESSED. It could have been like Siran Stacys family.

I get it. Bless him these days.

Tennesse players circling around Marcus Lattimore offering words of support as he lay there with his knee shreaded to pieces and his foot facing in the wrong direction.

Definitely. Auburn and Ole Miss had a situation like that a couple of years ago with an AU kid being injured and an OM player not moving when he oculd have caused injury.
