I'm going to trade in my car soon, so I was looking for the title because the dealers always charge a ridiculous fee for a title search. I could find checking account statements dating back to 1987, but I have yet to locate the title of a car I bought in 2006.

Folded up next to an old Bugs Bunny comic, I also found the 2001 football preview issue of the Augusta Chronicle. Had a big article about Terrance Edwards, but the most interesting part of it was the analysis of which games would be most important for that year.

The writer wrote "Forget Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia Tech, the South Carolina game will be the most important game of the year for the dogs."

Looking back, the writer looks really foolish. Two of the three games he said to forget about were the most memorable wins of that season...the hobnailed boot game, and breaking a 3 year drought against Tech. The Tennessee game was critical to solidifying Richt's status in Georgia.

Sportswriters really spew a lot of meaningless drivel.

I wonder if wrote that because, ooooh I don't know....the paper is in Augusta?

Thinking back to 2001, even knowing that hindsight is always yadda yadda, there is simply NO WAY possible, fathomable, to say going into that season that SC would be the biggest game.
