LSU Screwed Out Of 4th Playoff Spot This Year?

Though I havent followed the SEC as closely as I care to admit before us joining the SEC, I have heard quite a few analysts saying the West is as strong this year from top to bottom as it has ever been...(except for Arky of course).. Which raises a question.
If the season plays out to where the West has 4-5 teams in the top 25. Would the strength of schedule aspect propel a 2 loss SEC West team into the 4 team playoff over a 1 loss Oregon/Ohio St./Oklahoma team?
Could the fact that the West is supposedly pretty strong from top to bottom cause us to miss the playoff altogether in year 1 if we knock each other out during the season?
The way I see it now for the playoffs is:
SCAR (12-1) - lost to LSU in SEC championship game
FSU (13-0) - Weak schedule will probably be back
Oregon/Ohio St./Oklahoma (all 11-1) could take 2 of these spots
LSU (11-2) Lose to two of (Auburn,OM,A&M,Wisky) ((beats Bama and holds tiebreaker to get to Atlanta))
In this scenario with LSU winning the SEC but being a 2 loss team would that propel them into the playoff over a 1 loss Oregon/Ohio St./Oklahoma?

If Oregon, OU, and tOSU won their conference in your scenario, you can forget 2 SEC teams making it. May not get any in.
And it will take a 2011 type season to get 2 teams in. IMO.

Do they even have a conference championship game anymore?

I tell you what, if USCjr goes 11 and fricking 1 you can ban me from this forum, because that means they somehow managed to win @Auburn, @Florida, and @Clemson with Dylan fricking Thompson and they managed to not play a game during the regular season(they have 12 regular season games + SECCG is 13....so 11-2 or 12-1?).

Woah, please tell me why are you so angry.... Calm down.... Its a scenario... And I honestly think all 3 of those are winnable games for SCAR.

I'll be doing backflips if we go 11-2

If be happy if we won 10 games.

If LSU beats South Carolina in the SEC Championship game, there is no way in hell they would put South Carolina in the playoff and leave out LSU.

Yeah this is retarded.

They put bammer in the BCSCG game in 2011 and they didn't even make the SECCG.
Seriously, though, I can't see them taking a 2-loss SEC team if there's already one SEC team in the playoffs.

If they win the SEC, they're in. That's all anyone should worry about.

If Bama lost the SECCG to Georgia then they wouldn't have gone.
They lost in mid Nov to the Aggies.
Different scenario.
And Saban cried to ESPN

This is strictly a hypothetical scenario. Replace LSU with Alabama/Auburn/Arky... I dont care who the team is.
And also lets reverse this and say a 2 loss UGA/FL/SCAR wins the SEC over a previously undefeated Alabama/Auburn/LSU. Does the scenario still apply to where the west team doesnt get in?

Maybe Les shouldn't have been so classy and said he wanted to play bama again. He should have said "Hell no, we already beat them and we want to prove we are the best in the nation against a team we haven't beat yet." Probably wouldn't have helped but I do recall ESPN playing that statement a few times.

So wouldnt that be punishing a team that has to play a conference championship game, while a team like OU doesnt have that matchup? If it came down to the loser of the SEC Championship vs a 1 loss OU team that doesnt have a conference championship does that change your mind?

In that scenario either LSU is in and USC is out, or its FSU, OR, OH ST, OK and SEC stays home and we all bitch about it.

While I love your hypothetical outcomes for the season... The question, in that scenario, would be if a 12-1 USC (or whoever) would get in, after a Championship loss, over a 1 loss PAC, B10 or B12 champion. And the answer to that is probably not.
