FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas pitcher Colin Poche, who will miss the 2015 season because of Tommy John surgery, will transfer to Dallas Baptist this fall, according to a tweet by Perfect Game's Kendall Rogers on Friday.

Dallas Baptist is only 30 minutes southeast of Poche's hometown of Flower Mound, Texas.

Poche had the surgery on June 23 and Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn told WholeHogSports then that he might not return to the Razorbacks.

"He's going to take some classes there and he might even end up at another school," Van Horn said. "That's still all up in the air."

As a freshman, Poche had a 1.37 ERA in eight outings, but his ERA fell in his sophomore season. In 18 appearances, he posted a 3.00 ERA.

The Razorbacks will lack left-handed pitchers next season, as Poche was one of four lefties to see action in 2014. Jalen Beeks and Michael Gunn were drafted, leaving Chris Falwell (2.70 ERA in 6 2/3 innings) as the only lefty with experience on Arkansas' roster.

Hate to lose a lefty, but it may be best for both sides.

Yeah I didn't see him staying with us having to wait the entire year for him to be able to pitch again.

DBU's pitching coach was my coach in high school...cool story
