I have a son who goes to the SEC media days each year. Started going in high school. He's hearing impaired, so, he doesn't always come across as "normal."
Last week he ran into Stephen Garcia and Garcia asked him to go to lunch with him and his friends. Regardless of how I hated him for his one big game against Bama in 2010, I'm a fan now. My son said he was great.
Also, you would only hear this if you are able to listen to Jox out of Bhm but his comments on the promo about pre-game in BDS in 2009 are hilarious.
He said that the Bama frat boys before the game were yelling at him telling him to take his arse back to Mexico. He said he yelled back and said "I'm Cuban."

Someone please ask him about the time he threw the ball out of the back of the end zone for a safety. I just want to know what was going through his mind. I think it was against Alabama.

It was.
Everyone talks about how great Garcia was in that game, and he was 17/20, but he still managed to have a "Garcia play" as Spurrier called them.
Also it came at a critical time in the game, right after half time and cut the lead to 7 iirc. I was pissed

He did an interview with Chuck and Chernoff here in Atlanta last week during Media Days, and came off great. He's grown up a ton and was very open and humble about his time at USC. Took full responsibility for pissing away his time and opportunity with Spurrier. Said their relationship is night and day different since Spurrier has seen the change. I'm a fan.
