As we approach the 2014 college football season and get that inevitable influx of n00bs to this beloved forum of ours, I think it necessary to create a primer for them so they know what we are talking about when we say things like "good grind" or "good sail."

Alabama - The Bammers/Gumps/Updykes
Arkansas - The Flagshippers
Auburn - The Barners
Florida - The Jorters
Georgia - The Mutts/Leghumpers
Kentucky - The Blue Waffles
LSU - The Coonasses/Corndogs
Ole Miss - The Klanners
Mississippi State - The Grinders
Missouri - The Yankees
South Carolina - (Needs a nickname)
Tennessee - The Viles/Volunqueers
Texas A&M - The Faggies
Vanderbilt - The Geeks

Certainly used more than pumpkins. Hell, even volunqeers (mentioned above) is used more. I just don't want us to get short changed on our nickname.

Pumpkins? Come one, bro.

My bad. As the poster above said, I used to call Fulmer, The Pumpkin. It just kind of rubbed off.
