It's hard to build something sturdy or strong upon a weak foundation. 3-9 (0-8) is the foundation that Bret built at Arkansas last season. Surely whatever he builds upon such a weak base will collapse under his colossal weight of failures (such as not winning a single SEC game during his debut). Needless to say, Bret won't be calling Arkansas home long.

Fans of SEC football teams that did not go 3-9 last season, do you agree? Post your thoughts below.

He inherited a bad team and a depleted roster

Saban lost to ULM and went 6-6 his first year

Petrino went 5-7 and almost lost to WISU and ULM his first year

Give him more than a year to judge

At least he didn't lose to ULM his first year and compare it to the holocaust, pearl harbor, and 9/11.

I hear he's tanking on purpose. Liked the food in Wisconsin more than Arkansas.

If we go by your mindset, 75% of coaches are destined to fail because what they do in year 1 decides how strong their foundation is.

Your foundation is the players you recruit, not the players you inherit.

Put some more thought into it next time around
