That's not what the link says. Texas puts out more D1 players than Florida, and does so every year.

There has been talk the last several years of Texas prospects being more maxed out than Florida prospects because of better coaching and weight training. A lot of Texas high schools are run almost like colleges. They said that if you take a player from each state that you rank equally, take the one from Florida as he is likely to have a higher upside.

Is there a team in the SEC that doesn't feature at least one player from TN? I really doubt it.

Like someone previously said. We're growing at a steady pace. There's more and more top tier talent every year. The growth has been most prevalent in the mid-state region.

Alabama has two players on its roster from the state of Tennessee. Brandon Ivory from Memphis and Jabriel Washington from Jackson.

So for Tennessee, the last four recruiting classes, 2012 - 2015, the state has produced 2 five stars and 34 four stars. Not great by any means, but it's probably top 15 nationally. That's using 247. Also, the number of 4 stars has increased every year. Six in 2012 to twelve in 2015.

If you go by Rivals, the state has produced 4 five stars in that same time.

I'd say MS, SC, and Tennessee are probably all equal. SC and MS are much smaller states, so it is a little more impressive on their end. The other thing you have to consider, without trying to sound racist, the state of TN is 80% white, per the last census. That's a bit of an abberation in the south east.
