Nick Marshall leads four Auburn First Teamers, SEC high 13 Tigers overall

Nick Marshall has been chosen as the SEC's top quarterback by the media at SEC Media Days, and he's got some company on the preseason All-SEC First Team.

Marshall leads a contingent of four Tigers on the first team, a list that includes wide receiver Sammie Coates, center Reese Dismukes and defensive tackle Gabe Wright off of an Auburn team the media has picked to finish second in the SEC West behind Alabama.

And the Tigers' four First Team representatives lead a sizable Auburn contingent on the rest of the teams. Tight end C.J. Uzomah, left guard Alex Kozan and Star Robenson Therezie were each named to the second team, and the Tigers landed six players -- running back Corey Grant, right guard Chad Slade, defensive end Carl Lawson, defensive tackle Montravius Adams, linebacker Cassanova McKinzy and cornerback Jonathon Mincy -- on the All-SEC Third Team.

Auburn's 13-player contingent is the most of any SEC team, a major shift in perception for the Tigers, who had just six representatives in 2012 and no First Team members.
