When LSU Wins At Least 10-11 Games AGAIN This Year, This Board Will Say?

LSU has won less than 10 games only 3 times in the past 11 seasons and one of those was because of Nick Saban's stupidity and the other two were because Les Miles kicked his star QB off of the team. Other than that, the team has averaged 11 wins per season for a decade.

So, when LSU does it again because they are incredibly talented on both sides of the ball, return a ton of experience on the OLine, backfield, and on Defense, and because they have the best overall coaching staff in the SEC with a slew of top 10 recruiting classes, what is this board going to say?

Nothing.

If anything, they will say that it is still part of the decline and that NEXT year, LSU will finally fall apart.

LSU can beat Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss. St., Texas A&M, Florida, and Alabama this year. Arkansas and Kentucky too, obviously. They have the team to do it.

Will they run the table? Probably not. Their youth will trip them up at some point and they will drop a game or two. But, there will not be a collapse and the team will be consistent and win at least 10 or 11 games.

And this board will say nothing except that Les Miles sucks and LSU is terrible. Why? Because it is all this board ever says, so I fairly certain that the past is a good predictor of the future on both counts.

Just had to get that off my chest before the season starts.

TL;DR. But it is bookmarked for when A&M beats you at Kyle Field to cement your 7-5 season.

We'll lose one game we shouldn't, which will come to define our entire season

Please do. I can't wait for you to trot this thread out after the LSU-A&M game. Bring it.

LSU has had competent offensive coaching for one year since 2007 and it fielded a record setting offense. The coaching only got better in the offseason and the talent is there. By the A&M game, all of that talent will be experienced and will have gelled together. The team I fear least is A&M. I am more worried about Auburn and Miss. St. earlier in the season to be honest. By midseason, this LSU team will be much better than at the beginning.

I am not. Going 10-3 feels like a disappointing season to me. But, objectively, it hardly constitutes some kind of a decline or a failure of a season, especially in the SEC West. I understand that we are young so I am willing to take our lumps and not get all upset if LSU doesn't win every game.

But, I think that this team is going to be MUCH better than the critics are saying. The intangibles are there. They just have to come together, and I think that they will.

I will say, LSU is good at this 3rd or 4th in the West thing.
