I had no idea this fund existed.
And I'm really surprised that the linear-thinking NCAA allows for such a common sense option.
But I'm damn glad it does.

Moore, the associate AD for football, told FOX Sports that the school didn't know it could tap into that fund until this year to help with the loss-of-value insurance policy for a case like Ogbuehi's. "I don't think many schools know about it," Moore said Tuesday. "It's a game-changer."

I just finished reading that. I am very happy they took the time to research this and were able to bring Ced back.

Man that is a big deal. Talk about clever.

I am rooting for Big Ced big time this year. I want him to go #1 overall next draft and solidify us as OTU.

Glad we have an AD willing to do what it takes to support the program. It is huge having Ced here for the season, but almost bigger than that is having another almost guaranteed first round draft pick in a row and creating a situation where our LT spot is a stepping stone to the NFL.

Something tells me Hyman would have made the Ogbuehi family pay him to get the policy if he had any control over it.

Wow. First I've ever heard of a school buying the insurance policy for a kid. Bet we hear of it more and more now.

And good on us. Of course we did it out of self interest, but it also gives him a year to grow and learn and if he gets hurt, still get paid.
