Anyone in Oxford have this service? I'm looking to get TV and internet most likely since Metrocast won't have SEC Network and just plain blows dick. I'm worried about the cost/month after the 12 month trial period ends.

Anyone have any insight into this? Is U-Verse worth it?

Saw a metrocast bill from my dads apartment in Starkville for when he comes up from Baton Rouge. TV and internet was $150. No one has used it all summer They are terrible.

A) Definitely get U-Verse. Comparing U-Verse's quality to Metrocast is unfair.

That's because your dad signed a year-long contract breh.

Correct, but thats still high for a tv and internet bill. He's doing the same as the OP, changing companies to get the SECN.

I'm stuck with COX for the next year, unfortunately. Our TV and internet are both "meh," to say the least.

I don't watch a lot of TV, outside of live sporting events.

I don't worry about catching live sporting events at bars either because I live on Magazine Street.

I just switched to U-Verse and it has been great so far. As for as the price after the 12 month trial do what most smart people do and call and say you are switching and they will set you up with another deal.

We paid 180 a month in Oxford for it. There is a flat rate for whatever package you get and then an additional charge for each box which I think was 7 dollars

Have UVerse. Pay 150 with 4 boxes (2 wireless boxes) and all the movie channels excluding Cinemax. Best deal around.

Although you can't purchase Sunday ticket, it does have NFL Redzone for an additional 10 dollars which is better.

I have U-Verse.

$130 a month with just the one box and 18 MBPS internet.

Love it. Never had an outage or any issues. The tech that came by my house to install the shite was really good.

I've transferred service between 3 different locations (2 in Texas, one in MS) and never had any problems with customer service.

Wouldn't trade it anything short of fiber.

I got Verizon fios, well at least I will for a couple more days if they don't announce fast that they are going to carry the SEC Network. Hate to leave them because they've been really good, but I can't miss out on the SEC Network.

We have it. By far my favorite service provider ever, and I've been through most...

Got att uverse, plan kicks arse. My year was up earlier this month. Called them and told them that I was going to switch to the cable company, now I'm paying $50 a month less than what I was paying last year. If you even threaten leaving they'll give you a better deal. Have to call and be transferred to like 3 different departments, but that's better than dealing with metrocast IMO.

For my last 5-6 months in Oxford before we moved I had U-Verse and it was really good I thought. The hd quality is every bit as good as directv (i Had Dtv for 7 years) if not better to be honest. Their on-demand is badass but the layout of the dvr was kind of a pain in the arse, not that big a deal though.

We just got Google Fiber hooked up this week and holy fricking shite it's badass. I dont know how long it will be before it's in yall's respective areas but the second it is, get that shite.

Just made the switch to UVerse. Ended up with a little under 300 more channels including SEC Network and all movie channels and faster internet for $94/month. Metrocast was costing me about $140/month and is absolute garbage
