Could've been worse, he could've just gone 3-9.

I look forward to it. The 30 for 30s and sec storied have been decent this far and spurrier is as much a part as sec history as any of the mannings and the great Herschel and Bo

Actually ... just yesterday he said it was the best thing that could have ever happened to him.

Could'uv been worse. He could have ended-up at Arkansas. And y'all would still dance in the streets if he announced he was coming there tomorrow.

I think it's the exact opposite. Scar will let the man coach how he wants to for as long as he wants too. He consistantly bitch slaps the in state rival and has turned scar into a powerhouse all while drink coors without a shirt from the golf course.

I hate the motherfricking son of a bitch and would spit on his grave if I ever happened to pass by it one day.

But the man is a legend and I have no choice but to respect him in some sense for what he has meant to his conference and to the South at large.

Spurrier's greatest accomplishment was actually helping to make the SEC relevant again. The SEC, save for two or three teams throughout the 80s and 90s, was not the giant it is today. Spurrier brought a new offensive philosophy to the SEC that eventually took the conference by storm and played a part in bringing the SEC to the level it is currently at.

The majority of his teams at Florida, however, were good teams that (more often than not) wilted in the sun when they met equal or superior competition. It was just luck for him that Florida was the only great team in the conference for much of the 90s.

I just remember him beating everyone 52-3 and always pass first half, run second half.

Ray Goff and Jim Donnan could recruit like champions, but they either coached like shite or shite their pants when they played the big boys.
