Top 5 Secondaries for the next few years based on current talent and future BOTH.
Alabama:
CB: Eddie Jackson 4*, Tony Brown 5*, Marlon Humphrey 5*, Minkah Fitzpatrick 5*, Cyrus Jones 4*, Bradley Sylve 4*
Star: Maurice Smith 4*, Jonathan Cook 4*
SS: Collins 5*, Hootie Jones 4*, Ronnie Clark 4*, Shawn Burgess-Becker 4*
FS: Geno Smith 4*, Deionte Thompson 5*
LSU:
CB: Tre'Davious White 5*, Rashard Robinson 4*, Kevin Toliver 5*
Dime: Jalen Mills 3*, Jalen Collins 3*, Edward Paris 4*
SS: Rickey Jefferson 4*, Corey Thompson 4*, Devin Voorhies 4*
FS: Ronald Martin 3*, Jamal Adams 5*, Dwyane Thomas 4*
Florida:
CB: VH3 5*, Jalen Tabor 5*, Duke Dawson 4*, JC Jackson 4*
Dime: Brian Poole 4*, Nick Washington 4*
SS: Marcus Maye 4* Marcell Harris 4*
FS: Jabari Gorman 4*, Keanu Neal 4*
Ole Miss:
CB: Golson 4*, Hilton 3* (RB), Jones 3* (WR), Kailo Moore 3*, Tee Shepard 4* (RB), Carols Davis 3* (RB), Cliff Coleman 3*, Kendarius Webster 4*
Dime: Trae Elston 3*, Anthony Alford 4*
SS: Tony Conner 5*
FS: Cody Prewitt 3*, CJ Hampton 4*
(Great Safeties, but awful CBs and can't recruit CBs so they offer RBs and turn them into Corners.) Currently they are one of the best with current returners.
Miss St:
CB: Jamerson Love 3* , Calhoun 3*, Jiles 3*, Irvin-Sills 3*
Dime: Cox 4*, Redmond 4*
SS: Market 4*, Coman 3*
FS: Evans 3*, Antoine 3*
NOTE: I am not sure if SCAR recruits well enough in the secondary to be considered top 5 in the SEC. They would have been my number 5 if Miss St. didn't get JUCO guys and the solid players they have now. SCAR does have Elder and a couple other guys. UGA recruited well, but lost all their studs.

LSU,bama, Or Florida
Om can get into consideration if they show they can do it. They got talent for sure

LSU and UF interchangeably. Both teams usually have the best secondaries in the SEC.

UF will probably have the best experienced great DB's because they won't have annual turnover like Bama and LSU usually do. Sometimes recruiting too well will do that.

Not UGA. Hopefully Pruitt can get better recruits in our secondary.

Top 3 with Alabama for sure, but you're a little think on depth at the moment for your future and don't have too many top notch DB recruits locked up to come in.

UGA has pruitt now, so maybe there are growing pains in 14 but going forward, look for uga to consistently put a badass secondary on the field.
Just like granthams forte was linebackers, pruitts forte is secondary.
At least thats what i read on tinternet.
Bama fans, is pruitt a secondary master?
Or just one of sabans yes men?

Stars don't mean much. Mathieu & Claiborne were 3 stars.

Saban coached the DBs while Pruitt watched and setup cones. Still you have no choice but to learn when the man opens his mouth, so id assume some of it stuck

You forgot Tee Shephard who was a top 50 recruit. Was #1 Juco CB in the nation last year.

Where is Shepard at on your depth chart? And is he an outside corner or dime?
Posted on 7/15/14 at 2:05 pm to SouthMSReb
And Kendarius Webster who was a low 4* cb

UF's secondary has always been elite with Muschamp. Thats the least of our problems.

TB and Hump locking down WRs, Thompson roaming, Hootie knocking heads off. Nothing better.

Not on there yet. He'll join the team at the end of summer. He'll start out behind Golson and most think will have the majority of playing time by midseason.
