Note: This doesn't include anyone who DID NOT go through spring practice, so it'll change before the first game.

LINK

We have one of the best defensive lines in the nation.

DE: CJ Johnson / Marques Haynes
DT: Robert Nkemdiche / Byron Bennett
NG: Issac Gross / Woodrow Hamilton
DE: Fadol Brown / Carlos Thomspon

Also, Denzel is listed as 2nd string Stinger

It's amazing the defensive lines the state of Mississippi will produce this year. I can't imagine how bad it would be if a team had to play us back to back.

ETA: Just checked the schedule and TAMU plays us then y'all and then Alabama. They may not have a back field near the end of the season.

Be excited about the line all you want. I'm focused on that secondary

It will not surprise me if Haynes ends up having one of the better defensive careers we've seen at Ole Miss since Hardy (when he was healthy).

Really excited about the entire defense. They'll probably have to win a couple games for us. The Bama game in particular. If we can win the game of field poison we might have a chance.

I fully expect DJ to have a breakout year as well.

Eta:

Talbot Buys
Craig Frigo

Who???

Carlos Davis returning punts is kind of exciting. That mother fricker is fearless.

I really want Speaks to push for a lot of PT at the Nose position. Gross is overrated and Woody is an okay player. Definitely servicable.

My inside guy has been swearing by him for the past year and a half. Says he's absolutely electric with the ball

They actually did fairly well last spring all things considered... still, one of the biggest question marks going into the season will be how well we can manage if one of them is forced into action.

We should basically go through fall practice with all OL wearing "no contact" jerseys

He'd be an undersized 3-4 end. He's playing freaking Nose Guard. We need a space eater at the position, not a 250 pounder. We're already undersized at LB, we can't afford to have a severely undersized cog in the middle.

Yes, he's good for 1 or 2 TFL a game, but he's not consistently stout against the run.

My only issue with Gross is that he and RN can be redundant. I was always hoping Lavon Hooks could've been that space eater opposite Gross or RN, but that dream is dead.

Lavon Hooks isn't even on the 2-deep btw.

I'm pretty sure you really don't understand the role of a Nose Guard in a 4-3 defense

Your space eaters gravitate more to 3-4 DT or 4-3 DT in certain, run heavy situations. A nose tackle's job, in most circumstances, is disruption. Quickness is the most vital attribute here because you're over the Center, who has to snap the ball first and puts him at a heavy disadvantage with someone that quick.

Gross, is one of the best in the bidness when it comes to quickness. You're just a fricking moron

I must have had them mistaken. I always thought that the DT or Under Tackle as some call it was the disruptor. In Minnesotta they had Pat Williams at Nose Tackle and Kevin Williams at DT. Pat was the run clogger, Kevin was the penetrator. I thought RK was our penetrator...?

It is why I hate taking DL from JUCO. They never pan out for us.

So you predicted Engram to be this awesome or Channing to suck so bad?

Seems likely, douche.
