Board Wars

I am soooooo dreading this.

This is going to stir-up so much shite.

I'm going to do it though. I promise. After we get past SCAR's SEC media days today, come tomorrow morning Chapter 1 gets posted.

I am just fricking dreading this. Almost wish I had never mentioned it. The more I remembered, the more horrible it was. The more I talked to people who lived through it, the more they asked, "are you sure you want to relive that again?"

I'm not doing it guys.

Killz has got the shite stirred-up already on the main board, it's just not worth it. I was hoping to keep it here but I should have known better. frick.

Give me a chance to figure something out. I promised, and I am going to share it with my fellow Gamecock fans because the board wars were among the Gamecock boards. I've got to figure-out a way to post it where only Gamecock fans here on our little forum have access.

ETA: We need private messages around here, or we need a way to communicate without all of this bullshite killz is going to cause on the main board.

I'm not doing it for the world - we're not stirring that old pot up again.

Give me a little while to figure something out - maybe post it somewhere where it can only be accessed and viewed by password and I can share the password with select Gamecock fans around here.

It's your story, you can do whatever you want with it.
Since we can't PM on this site, and some people might not want to post their email addresses on here, I think the easiest way to do it would be:
-Start a thread for people that want to read the story
-you create an email address for you to send the story,
-people that want the read the story send you an email address that they created.
-People post in your thread with their email, so you know who you're sending it to.

For Example:
You make the email SCRooster@yahoo.com
I make the email CockInYourEar@yahoo.com

I then post in your Board Wars thread under my screen name that I would like to read the story and for you to send it to CockInYourEar@yahoo.com

...and if it's all just not worth it to you, don't worry about it, this is just a message board.

Damn good idea. I like that idea. I can set-up an email address and do it that way.

My Son also just told me that I can upload it to his photobucket site as a PDF and password protect it there as well. I just wouldn't know how to get the passwords to Gamecock fans only.

Honestly, it really only concerns Gamecock fans. It was the Gamecock Board Wars after all.

The story can't be told without using names, and usernames, and while many of the bad people, the really bad people, are now dead or gone, there are still some around who would love nothing better than to start another board wars.

I'm sharing the story for historical purposes and keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't stir up a pile of shite in the process. I know that once I started making calls, several people (good ole Gamecock fans) started lurking here waiting to see what happens. At the same time everyone still around is talking about meeting for a game, doing a tailgate together again this year - something we have not done in over a decade - so there have been some positives to come out of the calls.

The story needs to be kept private though.
