Was there yesterday for something and literally every single building looked brand new with tons of new construction happening as well. Is this all football $ going to work?

Sounds sketchy. Did you poison our grass?

Oh and the school's growing tremendously.

The new science-engineering area might as well be its own town. It's unbelievable.

happening all over the country. Tennessee has probably done more and at least as much work than anyone. It's an arms race all over the country and not just limited to athletic department buildings. Really shitty how schools are losing money and tuition is growing at unprecedented levels, all while cutting programs and downsizing faculties, yet these schools continue to build multi-million dollar buildings on campus, one after the other.

New Fresh Food Company and renovations at the Ferguson is all I know of right now. Supposed to have a new 30 million dollar academic building, but I haven't seen any construction of it yet.

Growing leaps and bounds, it's almost unrecognizable to an alum that only gets to visit during football season.

It started years ago. I was a Freshman in 2006 and construction was going on then and hasn't stopped. I think it really got started around 2004. That's about the last time I remember there not being much construction on campus.

UGA is lousy with new construction. Bama fans may not recognize the campus when they come back in a few years.

In the area around Sanford Stadium alone it is getting insane:

New Bolton Dining Commons will open this Fall on the corner of Lumpkin and Baxter:

The Special Collctions Library was finished before last season:

The new Terry Business college palace is being built across the street from Bolton and will be completed around 2020:

Elsewhere on campus, the Vet school has a massive expansion being done on South Campus and they've just broken ground on a massive new Science Learning Center in the middle of campus.

This shite is getting to be nuts.

Yeah. That's the next area for expansion/construction. I was told a few weeks ago a little bit about how the streets are going to be laid out on the Bruce property.

I've seen lots of good looking new stuff on Bama's campus, like the business school, where the architecture actually does a good job of capturing traditional design elements. I don't particularly like the stuff above. It's post-modern half-arse.

The columned building in the middle of picture #5 is the exception.

It all started when they closed down that den of iniquity The Booth...

All hail progress!
