According to Bruce Feldman: Ex 4-star #WashState QB Tyler Bruggman has been released to #Arkansas, #Duke, #Louisville & #Indiana, source tells @FoxSports.
Anyone know anything about this?
That would put the depth chart at:
Brandon Allen 4*
Austin Allen 4*
Rafe Peavey 4*
Tyler Bruggman 4*
Ty Storey 4/5*

"Released" doesn't mean he'd be eligible immediately, does it? Because that'd be awesome.

I was harping about this last season that we HAD to get a 5th year Sr. QB that was due to complete his degree in the spring 14 semester.
If only for depth purposes and to push Brandon Allen. He's cruised as the starter and from all appearances wasn't a leader of the team. Him and Tater spent more time chasing tail and whining about girls egging their trucks than building team chemistry and keeping everyone together making strides.
eta: He's a RS Frosh, would have to sit. I now remember Petrino being in on him before the crash, and he committed to WSU that summer.
There's a 5* QB riding pine at Cal that we should have backchanneled.

I'm not sure of his case or circumstances as to why he is transferring.
If he is a graduate student with 2 years of eligibility remaining, he would be eligible immediately.
If there is a "hardship" "causing" the transfer he would be granted immediate eligibility.
Other than that Wash St. would have to vouch for him and help him get a waiver if he requests one after the transfer.
That's the only 3 instances I can think of to not have to sit out a year.

There's also the run off rule that OU's trying to manipulate to get DGB eligible this fall.
OSU used it to land a LSU basketball player earlier in the summer.
Basically if a kid leaves school for reasons beyond his control he can be granted a waiver. This is usually things like being cut from the team, or the team yanking a scholarship and the family not having the financial means to pay the tuition, etc.
DGB's situation is a farce of that rule because Mizzou isn't signing off that he had zero control of his fate because his dismissal was for behavior issues off the field that are 100% within his control.
If Bruggman was buried on the depth chart and WSU wants to clear up a scholly for another position, they can sign a document saying Bruggman had no control over his lose of the scholarship or he was encouraged to transfer from by the coaches.

That's what I meant by the school vouching for them.
It does happen from time to time where a guy is told to move on and the staff/school helps them in the process if they land on the FBS level.
Most schools will not normally do this.
If he's going to be a 5th year senior graduate student, the point is moot thanks to Houston Dale fricking Nutt and the Masoli rule in the SEC. I *think* the exception to this rule might be if the player is not on scholarship for that year.

pass on bruggman. His highlight film was weak. He stares down receivers in every play. He is very slow and his delivery is slow. His stats were just inflated from his team being so good. I wish we had some of those receivers, 10-20 yard joe adams style after catches in that highlight.
Ty Storey will be head and shoulders better than any qb we have. Having Peavey as his backup would work out fine. In 2 years the roster should be:
Ty Storey 4/5*
Rafe Peavey 4*
everyone else
2016 should be the year of the hog.
eta: ty storey
so much skill

Scout also had BA at 3*. Austin was a 4* on 247 and Scout, and a 3* on Rivals.

I didn't say he was a consensus, but the Rival's staff admitted to not doing a proper evaluation or watching him play due to him being a Razorback lock and did bump him to a 4* after seeing him play.

Did anyone see where Cordale Boyd was moved to the DL? Surprised by that

Did he play on both sides in HS?
Really speaks more to what is available for the O-line, to me.

The media guide also has Brey Cook listed as an OG.
I would be curious if that was legit or just a mistake. I question mistake because Taver Johnson is still listed as a coach in the book so they obviously didn't do a homerun job of proofing it.
