I won't be placing any money on LSU winning it all. But, certainly, LSU is a contender.

Defense will be strong, OL is experienced, talented, and deep, RBs will be outstanding. WRs are not "names"...yet. But, very capable.

QB is the question. But, LSU will be a good team. Great will have to wait for the QB answer.

UGA and LSU are no more of contenders than USC. There should be a maybe next to them as well.

I don't think we (LSU) will be a contender this year. LSU will win the NC in 2015 though.

UGA has a lot of questions to answer first.

My guess is whoever wins the SEC will be a legit title contender. All those team seem to fit the bill.

LSU is not winning or contending for a national title with their quarterback, wide receiver, or defensive tackle problems.

LSU couldn't beat anybody on the road last year even with a senior quarterback. Not even Ole Miss. Cant wait for them to come to Auburn this year. I put the over/under on an Auburn victory at 3 touchdowns

I can slightly understand this. However, at the same time, LSU played for a national title in 2011. UGA was one play away from playing for one in 2012. USCe just hasn't been that yet close yet.

unproven =/= "problems"

DT will be fine

I'm not lobbying and don't really worry about other fanbases not thinking highly of LSU.

i was simply providing SOME perspective on expectations from one who keeps up with the program.

And, YOU are going to point at last year (Ole Miss..on the road, etc) as an indicator of THIS year?

How did AU do the year before last? Was that previous year a good predictor of last season?

What kind of stupid logic is that? Especially with a new postseason format, anything can happen.

Please come up with better reasoning than "Well South Carolina hasn't done it before, so they won't. Because, reasons."

Strong backbone of the team. Skilled players are young but talented. They could be terrible, they could be awesome. We'll see.

So does South Carolina. Offense will be good if SOS doesn't mess around and lose a game by sticking with Thompson, with a better passer on the bench.

Defense? Where do you want to start, there are so many questions.
