4* R250/4* 247 LB Josh Smith who had a bunch of offers & high 3* ILB Caleb Peart from Arizona who chose VU over offers from Arizona, Arizona St, Cal, Northwestern, Utah and a few others.

It took Mason a bit to rebound and get the momentum rolling but I think he has done a solid job so far. He was hired on Jan 17th after Franklin torpedoed the class and it fell down to 8 commits and ranked in the 100s. In 3 weeks he got it all the way back up to no.45 in the composite, not great but not a disaster like it could have been.
2015 recruiting had been a bit slow but momentum seems to be turning, kinda sucks we only have 15 spots. Next year we will only have 12 Franklin RS a ton of kids which should benefit Mason in the long run.

It's been slow because Franklin has been poaching players he recruited at Vandy, players we were establishing a relationship with. In general, I don't begrudge him; that is, I don't think it's some huge moral failure. But it's probably a bit unethical if for no other reason than Vandy money paid for him to establish connections with these recruits, so, in a way, he's kind of cheating Vandy out of that money.

Vandy fans live the life on SEC Rant. No one dislikes you, everyone cheers for you guys especially when playing another SEC/rival team. And if you went there your most likely a genius

He seemed to have started as a SO at DE at Chandler Hamilton. CHandler Hamilton is the best school historically in Arizona and a pipeline of talent to the Pac12 from the Phoenix Metro area (Chandler is a suburb next to Arizona St)

Peart has played DE in HS (and has been evaluated at that spot by the services). He camped at VU in June and worked at ILB and did a good job, actually offered him over 2 4*s at the camp in CJ Stalker and Reagan Williams.
At Hamilton this year the plan is to have him play DE and LB about 50/50
