"A stellar showing by Alabama 2015 commitments Blake Barnett and Calvin Ridley at The Opening in Beaverton, Ore., culminated Thursday with the quarterback-wide receiver duo taking home Most Valuable Player honors. Barnett, who committed to UA last month, was named MVP of the Elite 11 quarterback competition while Ridley was honored as the event's overall MVP. Barnett and Ridley teamed up to lead Team Apocalypse to the championship of the 7-on-7 competition."

Don't give Kiffin credit for their talent and their HS coaches coaching job. Kiffin hasn't had a chance to screw them up yet.

The qb coaching he got at the opening will be better than anything Kiffin does for him

Good to see we're getting another playmaker for the QB spot.

I think Johnny Football changed some thinking around the SEC or at least Saban was impressed.

It's still gonna be a few years before Blake Barnett truly competes for the starting QB spot unless he's too good to sit and learn.

I bet after Kiffin is through with him, he'll be Bama's answer to Jesse Scroggins.

Gumps don't understand the difference between the subforums apparently.

Kahlil McKenzie is going to force feed Barnett turf many times over their careers.

May want to tap the brakes!

You can count on one finger the number of SEC fanbases that would want Lane Kiffin as OC.
